Due:
What do stories reveal about the human condition? As a whole class, we have read several stories where stressful situations often reveal the best and worst in people. Individually, each of you will write a stream-of-consciousness narrative based on this idea: the day felt as if it would never end. You will write a personal narrative inspired by an experience that shaped you as a person. In conjunction with the personal narrative, you will collectively design painted illustrations that depict an important aspect of your narrative on muslin cloth squares. Each student’s cloth will be sewn together into a quilt and displayed in the hallway in front of Dr. Lay’s classroom. A write-up and link (via QR Code) to students’ narratives will be displayed with the quilt. If you do not wish to have any identifying details displayed for current and future students, please omit them from your story.
Writing requirements:
Tell a true story.
Write in the first person.
Include dialogue and format it correctly.
No word count - have fun.
